NovaVision Announces Launch of New Visual Assessment Device CentraVIEW® at April’s AAN Meeting | 04/03/2006 » At the American Academy of Neurology's (AAN) annual meeting in April, NovaVision announced the new product launch of CentraVIEW™. CentraVIEW is an FDA-cleared visual assessment device that enables physicians and clinical staff at rehabilitation centers and group practices to provide visual function tests.
What it Does
CentraVIEW screens patients for central visual field deficits caused primarily by stroke or traumatic brain injury (TBI) by administering a 5-7 minute assessment test on an easy-to-use, compact medical device.
What it Shows
Results are available in a patient report immediately after the test is concluded. The report includes a visual field grid and information that provides the ability to determine if a central field deficit exists while uncovering specific performance trends. Undetected visual field defects may adversely impact other rehabilitation modalities.
Ongoing Client Support
- Onsite account management
- Client Services Representatives available Mon-Fri, 8am-6pm Eastern time for assessment questions, device assistance and general information
Therapy for Diagnosed Patients
Patients who have been administered a CentraVIEW test and whose results indicate a potential central visual field deficit may be candidates for NovaVision VRT Vision Restoration Therapy (VRT). NovaVision Partner Centers offer a comprehensive VRT diagnostic evaluation followed by customized vision therapy for these patients. VRT is a daily, at-home vision therapy performed on an FDA-cleared medical device that may restore some of the lost vision caused by a stroke or TBI.
