“VRT has helped my vision in numerous ways. My reading ability improved, I can scan much better, read at ease, walk with confidence, turn corners much easier, and rarely do I run into anything.”
“To make things better, you have to fight for it. I found it through VRT. I found it, paid for it, I worked at it and won. Anyone can do it and win; you just have to want it.”
“I want to thank everyone at NovaVision for their hard work. NovaVision provides hope for people to see again. I told my support group online how the therapy worked for me."
"VRT helped me immensely and I give credit to VRT which has strengthened my vision and helped me drive again. I live a normal and active life now.”

“I am able to read two to three letters at a time. I struggle with my vision, but going from 20/400 to 20/60 made a huge difference.”
“Considering my unique situation, I feel VRT has helped me considerably. While these numbers don’t tell the whole story, they say a lot. Before therapy there was a time I couldn’t read the newspaper. It used to look like someone poured Clorox on half of the paper so that the words were faded.”
“After a month of therapy, I knew I was seeing more as the words in my focal vision became less faded. Eventually I could read headlines a few letters at a time. Although I previously couldn’t watch my high-definition television, I really enjoy now after completing VRT.”

“Any stroke victim with my visual problems should try VRT, especially if there is strong home support and no home distractions.”
“I recommend coffee or tea about 15 minutes before each therapy session to stay alert. Without help concentrating, it is easy for the mind to wander off to the beach instead of focusing on the task at hand.”

“Before VRT, my vision appeared to be cloudy. Since doing VRT, my vision is a lot clearer, I have greater awareness of what’s going on around me, and I am able to pour a cup of coffee without a spill.”
“VRT has helped me immensely. I am able to walk with more confidence and I no longer bump into walls as frequently.”

“I decided to try VRT because it provided a new method to increase my brain’s neuroplasticity instead of just teaching me how to cope with my vision loss. I wanted to improve the daily activities I struggled with as a result of my low vision.”
“After the second therapy module, I started to see changes in my vision. Now I can drive small distances in my car, and my memory has improved since my reading speed and comprehension are much better.”
"VRT is an effective therapy for people with low vision that helps improve the ability to perform daily activities.”

I began my therapy in June 2000. Day by day, I now experienced my surroundings widening, the edges and corners becoming more defined and thus the number of bruises and grazes reducing. The glass door which my head continually bumped into has also become clearer. In all printed and illustrated things, the missing half has gradually started to fill in. Writing and reading has become easier and easier.
The vision restoration continues to progress – even if it is smaller now. The right half of my face which was not visible when I looked into the mirror to the left half in 1997, has gradually come back.
When I have interrupted the therapy, sometimes for one or two weeks (hospital, short vacation), neither a subjective nor an objective deterioration of my vision has been noted. One can assume that stable improvements can also be obtained in the future.
After a few months of therapy, a positive side effect of VRT was noted as the gradual improvement of my ability to concentrate; pleasant for all of my everyday life.
I wish all of you have the courage and power and also health to get through the VRT. Nobody should give up hope for best possible improvement of vision!

In July 2006, I suffered a stroke as a result of open heart surgery that caused vision
loss in the bottom left quadrant of both of my eyes. It negatively affected many
different aspects of my life including driving, reading and coaching a high school
baseball team. My poor wife had to drive me everywhere. I lost my mobility and felt
dependent on everyone.
I was happy to learn that there was something I could do to improve my vision. My
neuro-optometrist told me about VRT and of course I was on board to try it. After
doing the therapy just a few months I noticed improvements. In fact, I now have nearly
20-20 vision in both eyes.* I can look up a phone number easier, read the newspaper
and I am able to drive again. I am especially looking forward to coaching the baseball
team again. It feels like someone has given my life back a little piece at a time.

I had a stroke in 2002 that left me with a scotoma in the center of my vision field. I was
not able to read, write and could only see part of the TV screen for two years until I did
NovaVision VRT.
I learned about NovaVision from my ophthalmologist and I am very happy that I did the
therapy. It truly restores vision. Once I started doing the therapy and realized that it
was working, I actually looked forward to doing VRT.
After 12 months of therapy, I could read large print books. I have been able to return
to playing tennis and golf. I feel like NovaVision VRT gave me my life back, and I
would tell anyone with a visual field deficit considering therapy, “How could you not do
it? It really works.”

After my stroke I lost about half my field of vision, and since starting VRT I have
noticeable improvements in my vision – I see more, it’s easier to read, I can see the
entire TV screen when watching TV and even enjoy going to the movies now.
As a post-stroke VRT patient with a hemianopia, I encourage others who also suffer
from this or other vision loss after stroke to absolutely do it. You have nothing to lose
and VRT works. As a retired physician, I recommend other medical practitioners and
rehabilitation specialists to advise their stroke and brain injury patients about the
benefits of VRT.
I am optimistic by the promise that VRT holds. I was told there was nothing I could do
about the vision I lost from my stroke. Fortunately, I discovered NovaVision VRT.
